Marc Bono, Psy.D
Dr. Marc Bono, Psy. D. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Connecticut. He was awarded a Doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis in Addictions Counseling from United States International University in San Diego, CA. Dr. Bono has been specializing in addiction treatment for over 20 years and has a broad base of experience including work at The Betty Ford Center and as a Clinical Psychologist and a Drug and Alcohol Program Director for The Federal Bureau of Prisons. Dr. Bono founded The Office for Dual Recovery, a private practice and training organization specializing in the treatment of co-occurring disorders. In this capacity, he served as the Lead Trainer and Consultant on a state wide Integrated Dual Diagnosis Implementation Project for California. He has been an Associate Professor at two community colleges and has worked as the Director of Mental Health Services for Rushford Inc. in Meriden, CT. and Dr. Bono is a frequent lecturer and trainer on co-occurring disorders. Currently, Dr. Bono is a co-owner of The Waterstone Counseling Center Madison, CT focusing on the treatment of opiate addiction. He works in an integrated fashion with physicians certified to prescribe Suboxone. Care is provided in same office with a focus on compassionate, dignified and recovery oriented treatment. Screening, assessment and the treatment of co-occurring illnesses is a routine component of the care provided The practice accept all major insurances including Husky.
Waterstone Counseling Centers serve New London, New Haven and Middlesex Counties, Connecticut. The medication component of our MAT program requires a regional service area, however, our unique Integrated Psychotherapy services are available to a non-local community through telehealth solutions and our interactive education platform.
